Who we are

Joseph Petersen, aka Joey Paranoia, is a producer, DJ, and Ableton specialist with over twenty years of experience playing in clubs, at music festivals, and corporate events. He first started using Ableton Live in 2005, and has been an Ableton Certified Trainer since 2009.

Today he uses it as the centerpiece of his all his studio work and live performances. He specializes in creating custom production and live performance templates for DJs and bands alike. With a global list of clients, he is known for his ability to sync multiple computers, all running Ableton Live, and incorporating live instrument sampling, vocalists and visuals. Whether DJing, producing, or creating sound design for film, Joey likes to keep himself busy working in many facets of the music industry.

In 2010 Paranoia became the resident DJ of Smile for Camera’s “Takeovr”. Takeovr won “Best Club Night” in the Orlando Weekly’s Best of Orlando Poll 2010 & 2011, He also took  2nd place for “Best Electronic Act”. Paranoia has headlined major festivals including Electric Daisy Carnival, Starscape, Identity, and Sunset Music Festivals. His productions have landed him in the Beatport Top 100 multiple times and he has worked extensively with other Ableton artists such as David Christophere from Rabbit in the Moon & Matt Black from Coldcut in designing and programming step sequencer apps for Ableton Live and its custom MIDI controllers.

As the head of the Ableton Live User Group Orlando he runs monthly workshops and clinics with Ableton Live, covering all aspects from advanced music production to DJing and VJing. Some of his past major artist clients include Randall M (Ibiza), Landis (Miami), David Christophere (L.A.) and Nexus (Orlando). He offers one-on-one training as well as group classes for up to ten students.
